Bark King®’s Standard Soil is a sandy loam based soil that has been screened to remove larger impurities such as seeds. This product works well for lawns and native gardens. Testing of this soil usually shows a PH between 6 and 7. Standard Soil is best suited to plants that require a basic soil without high levels of nutrients and organic matter. It is also a great base to create your own specific soil blend.

Our Bark King® Eco Blend Soil is a premium soil with a sandy loam base blended with organic compost.

Autumn Mulch primarily suited for mulching and landscaping purposes. It is designed to provide two main benefits to gardens; improving the decorative aspect and to slowly introduce nutrients to the underlying soil. Watersaver mulch can be classified as a combination mulch and pasteurized soil conditioner.

Our Bark King Organic Mulch is a composted organic product, using a controlled batch composting technique and adding nitrogen to the blend. The Organic Mulch has a PH of approximately 6.9 and is dark grey to black in appearance. Organic Mulch is great for increasing the level of organic matter in the soil, which in turn improves moisture retention, reduces soil erosion and gives slow release of nutrients into the soil.

Our Bark King® Mulch is a composted product mixed with aged poultry manure. The average PH level is 6.8 confirm making this product versatile in applications including landscaping, vegetable gardens, new garden development and garden rejuvenation.

Bark King®’s Diggers Compost is a black organic garden soil conditioner made from garden trimmings including leaves and branches. To become Diggers Compost, the raw materials are subjected to multistage processing including grinding, temperature-controlled composting and final screening.

Bark King’s Eucey Mulch is dark in appearance and gives a great natural organic look to all garden beds. It is made from a combination of ground natural wood materials and organic matter. The particles range in size from 1mm to 15mm, with an average of around 6mm to 10mm.

Bark King®’s Soft Play® playground mulch is a playground under surface material designed to meet Australian Standard AS/NZS 4422. Softplay® is a soft feel cushioning mulch, completely free of sharp materials and designed specifically for playgrounds. Because it is made from 100% plantation pine, without the addition of any additives, end users can have the peace of mind this product is safe to use and will not cause any harm. This makes Softplay the preferred choice for playground installers.

Bark King®’s Longalife® Coloured Mulches are the answer. Available in four colours, they will provide instant vibrancy and definition to any landscaping project. Longalife® Coloured Mulches are produced from Recycled Timber Mulch, which is then put through a colouring process using environmentally friendly dies. The Longalife® coloured mulches have the added bonus of retaining colour for a substantially longer period than the traditional natural mulches.

Leaf Mulch is made from raw chipped tree materials including trunks, branches and leaf matter. It does not contain grass or roots. This product is excellent for the native look in gardens featuring Australian native plants and a top choice for garden beds below deciduous trees.

Our Budget Saver Mulch is sourced from our recycling of green waste that has been composted to a semi matured state. Having a dark appearance gives a natural organic look. Budget Saver Mulch can be used in a variety of landscaping applications including domestic gardens, new garden developments and the rejuvenation of older gardens. It is an excellent product for native style gardens and is stable in open and exposed windy areas or when a budget priced mulch is required.

Bark King’s BK20 Timber Mulch is also made by passing our Recycled Timber Mulch through a secondary screen to reduce the particle size, this time to around 20 to 40mm. This is available natual, red or black.  BK20 Timber Mulch is also a hard-wearing product suitable for applications where a medium sized basic mulch is required to protect soil and reduce weed growth. It is particularly long lasting and is best suited to large windy open areas, slopes and embankments. This product is regularly used for freeways and housing subdivisions due to its set and forget properties.

As the name suggests, Bark King’s Recycled Timber Mulch is made from recycled timber products, primarily pallets and fencing materials. This is the first passing of the ground product after being screened to remove the overly large pieces and the majority of foreign objects. Bark King’s recycled Timber Mulch is a particularly long-lasting product that is predominantly used in the industrial sector, including providing access tracks in housing subdivisions, commercial properties and road reserves. It is primarily suited sites where longer-term long term weed suppression and soil protection are required with minimal intervention. Particle size usually ranges from around 10mm to 70mm in length.

Forest Bark is a combination of Pine Bark and Leaf Mulch that have been milled together giving a natural forest floor appearance. It has a longer life span and a more aesthetically pleasing appearance than the Leaf Mulch. Forest Bark is great for bush land projects or areas with deciduous trees as the falling leaves will soon to blend in.

Blended Bark is a blend of medium grade Pine Bark with average particle size ranging (in length) from 12mm – 20mm and our Longalife® Forest Brown Mulch. This enables customers to have that natural Pine Bark look with the longer lasting colour provided by the Forest Brow Mulch. On average colour retention extends two plus years longer than standard Pine Bark products. Blended Bark is suitable for all mulching and landscaping purposes. This product does contain dye.

Multi Bark is made by processing raw pine bark through a hammer mill with only minimal screening. This results in Multi Bark having particle sizes ranging from sawdust to 75mm with an average size of 20-25mm. Brown in colour, Multi Bark is very durable and is resistant to windy conditions as it’s varied pieces knit together to form a blanket type ground cover. Therefore, it is great for embankments or steep slopes, in commercial, industrial and domestic applications.

Rich brown in colour Border Bark is achieved by the hammer milling of raw pine bark. The Border Bark particle size ranges from sawdust to 15mm in slender curly pieces that when applied as mulch, knit up to form a blanket ground cover. Border Bark is durable and wind resistant, and a useful cover for embankments and areas subject to erosion.

Our 12-20mm Pine Bark is a larger heavier version of our graded pine bark. It is predominantly useful in larger garden beds or wider open areas where resistance to the elements is required. Pine Bark ranges from golden to dark chocolate brown in colour, making the 12-20mm Pine Bark a favourite material for commercial and industrial landscapes as well as the private garden.

With chocolatey brown nuggets, the 6 – 10mm pine bark is a highly sought after graded pine bark. It is a premium product choice for high profile landscaping jobs or in domestic cottage style gardens. This mulch has been a favourite of gardeners for many years due to it providing a natural look. 6- 10mm Pine Bark is great for areas requiring a manicured appearance.

Our Superfines Pine Bark is usually a chocolate brown to dark brown in colour. The particle sizes range from sawdust to 3mm and is achieved from the screening of hammer milled pine bark. This composted product is the key ingredient in potting mixes and garden bed mulches. It is also useful as clay breaker, soil builder and for top dressing garden mulch. Superfines Pine Bark will quickly adopt a soil like appearance. It usually exhibits a ph of 5.5.
