Repurpose It wins big at the Waste and Innovation Awards

We are so pleased to see the waste and resource recovery sector continue to expand through the development of innovative programs and tools to drive meaningful change within governments and local communities.

The Repurpose It team tip their hats to the hardworking organisations and individuals in the sector. Not only are they doing the most to provide critical services for millions of people around Australia, but more importantly they are highlighting the importance and the untapped potential of a circular economy.

In 2022, CEO of Repurpose It George Hatzimanolis had the pleasure of talking to other leading businesses in the waste and recycling industries at award nights and expos, building valuable connections and brand awareness.

As signified through winning ‘Leader of the Year’ at the 2022 Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards, George carries a strong commitment running a robust business, while maintaining a positive workplace culture for his valued team.

The Repurpose It operational team also scooped up ‘The Operational Excellence Award’, for their impeccable records, best practice OHS, and achieved demonstrable improvements in efficiency.

In addition to these wins, the organisation was also honoured to be named earlier in the year as a finalist at the 2022 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards. This recognised the outstanding achievements made by local businesses upholding a high standard of excellence in manufacturing.

The team here at Repurpose It believes in the importance of the work they are doing. Every day is rewarding, knowing they are changing the way of the future – these achievements over the last year is simply a cherry on top.
